I’ve been a stylist for 20 years and my passion for creating authentic looks for my guests only increases as years pass. My hair studio, located inside my home in East Hamilton, has recently been rebuilt after a devasting flood required the complete gutting of the space. It is safe and ready for the return of my clients, although it is still a work in progress. If you would like to book an appointment, please read the FAQ portion of this website before going to the booking site. New clients are welcome, and when I receive your appointment request I will reach out via email to get to know you and the look you want before we meet.
The Space
The Hair Studio is a basement level space, accessed by stairs, at 43 Tragina Ave South. It is bright and welcoming and ready for your private hair experience. In April of 2025, my basement and business were flooded and gutted and the rebuild has finally reached a point where I am welcoming clients back into the space. The decor is sparce and there is a little bit left to do, but its ready to go. To access the space, clients must be able to use the stairs as there is one set of stairs required. As a guest in my hair studio, you are a guest in my home. I have cozy slippers for you when you arrive as well as snacks. Coffee, tea and water are always available. If you need to work during your appointment you have access to WiFi and a working desk that I will roll in for your appointment. Please refrain from booking any meetings during your appointment time and please provide yourself a buffer before and after your appointment time. If you would like a silent appointment or have a music request, if being in the big light is too much for the duration of the appointment or you have any other sensory concerns, please advise at the time of your booking so we can make sure you are having the ultimate personalized experience.
Payment for services are made through SQUARE POS. Debit, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple PAY & Google PAY are accepted forms of payment. Transformation services can request payment through AFTERPAY for a small fee.

The Cuts
The Front

What once a bang trim is now a custom cut for the fringe and face framing layers considering your personal face shape, hair texture, and styling needs. This service does not include a cleansing service, please come with clean hair that hasn't been worn back in a headband, hat or hair tie.
If you have never had bangs or have told me you will never get them again, this service might be longer than 20 minutes as we discuss your emotional and hormonal state. (just kidding, or am I?)

The Little One

Looking to book a haircut for your little kiddo? Please add their name to your appointment notes and anything I need to know about them.
This cut does not include a wash or style.
I will do a thorough scalp check and then spray down the hair with both water and leave-in conditioner, please make sure their hair is close to clean. If there are a large amount of mats and tangles I will do my best to comb through in the time allotted for the appointment, if you know that you need help with this please include it in the appointment notes so we can make sure the time is there.
If your kiddo is big enough (as in they can be seated with a soft booster or without) for a wash and style and that is what they and you would like for them please book THE SHAPE.

The Nice to Meet You (book this if it is your first time coming in regardless of your hair length & texture)
Short & a little complex: fine to normal density example: pixies, bobs & bixies

Medium to Long - thicker than average density *from hovering above the shoulders to the bottom of the shoulder blades

The completely different look (book this when you are including a consultation for a totally new look or if you aren't sure I'll recognize you from the last time we saw each other - 7 months or longer between appointments. Includes big changes like from long to short.) service could be closer to 2 hours.
The Colours
All colour packages other than The Gotta Go include a cut. If you don’t want a cut, just let me know at the appointment. New clients please read FAQ & book The Transformation.
The Glaze

Custom toned glaze to bring your colour back to life. This service is not done with permanent colour and therefore not intended to cover grey hair. If you are looking to cover grey hair, please book the BASICS. This service is designed to TONE and ADD SHINE - remove brass or brighten and blend in highlight roots to create a lived-in look between larger appointments or as a way to invite a low-maintenance change. Includes a haircut considering your face shape & hair texture, a treatment to ensure your healthiest hair possible & styling so you can achieve your look at home.

The Basics

Root touch up of a base colour or face frame highlights - no more than 12 foils + haircut considering your face shape & hair texture, finished with a custom toned glaze, or colour refresh on the ends.

The Signature

Partial highlight or hair paint - front, top and pony tail highlights + haircut considering your face shape & hair texture, finished with a custom toned glaze.

The Transformation

This package includes - a total makeover for the client looking for a dramatic change. Includes every step of the process from consultation to colour, to cut, and all of the treatments in between to ensure your healthiest hair possible.
Fantasy colour, colour corrections, grey blending and most new clients and new to you looks can expect to fall into this category.
Formally known as THE OVERHAUL.

To the new colour clients, this may look scary as a pricing package but please note that in doing the pricing this way you may end up paying less than you would in other categories but this time booked allows for the best possible outcome and service I can provide. thank you.

A base touch-up or overall fantasy colour deposit (one colour) with a wash in salon (or an at-home cleansing option) This is designed to be a quick in and out service in between appointments for maintenance of your current colour.

The Trial

When the event is major and time is of the essence, the trial appointment for weddings is just as much for me as it is for the bride. It is required for booking your wedding with me.

The Treatments
Most appointments booked include at least one of these treatments, if you would like a face massage or have a specific request please include that in your appointment notes.
Scalp Treatments

A blend of prebiotics and micellar water that helps to gently cleanse the scalp before a wash. Can be used before any service in the salon. Usually followed by NEWWASH deep, original, rich unless specific allergies are mentioned. Unscented and zero fragrance or essential oils added to the PREWASH. This product can be purchased through my HAIRSTORY link for home use.

This product contains aloe. The product is a gentle acid exfoliant for the scalp. I can use this with the scalp brush for expedited exfoliation before a cut. For cuts close to the scalp this product can be left on when you leave. SPF is recommended after use if there is prolonged time in the sun. This is not safe on compromised skin, so will be applied after a thorough scalp assessment which is included in all haircuts.

This treatment is a blend of oils, both therapeutic and essential as well as hyaluronic acid, vitamin B5, micellar water. A full list of ingredients is available upon request. I will apply this oil to your scalp as a means to moisturize and stimulate hair growth. I will use a combination of the scalp brush and my fingers to massage. This will be followed by PREWASH or the use of clarifying shampoo.
